Welcome
Pianist Robert Levin, arguably the world’s leading classical improviser, visits Guildhall School in his annual residency as International Chair of the Centre for Creative Performance and Classical Improvisation.
In this event, Robert Levin and David Dolan offer a freewheeling discussion with keyboard demonstration of spontaneity in service to style and expression. Approaches to improvisation will be demonstrated in terms of present-day creative and expressive strategies as well as historical ones.
